Last Sunday, May 17 on Facebook, Jenna and I partied on for 90 minutes live for her video stream while she and I chatted via cell phones and Facetime. She had tequila and I had peach vodka.
Jenna does a live video at 11:11am and pm East Coast USA time. That's 8:11 for us Pacific Time people. She's been doing these shows since the lockdown. I give her a lot of credit for the consistency and not trying to make a technology splash. Those of us who know Jenna realize that she is an amazing improviser not only with music but with people.
I love that she holds up her phone for the 'split screen' image. The list of guests who check in for text or live range from Patti Cathcart (Tuck and Patti ) to Narada Michael Walden (Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin -- producer and drummer extraordinaire). I see plenty of friends in the chat. Fun.
Somehow, Jenna talked me into embarrassing myself with a live call. We reminisced about the sessions, the players and suddenly our drinks were gone and 90 minutes had passed. The show is still available on Facebook if you search for the date and go to Jenna Mammina's page. I think it's public.
Side note... apparently the spell checker doesn't recognize Aretha Franklin. Go figure!
Side note... check out Jenna and Rolf on Wicked Game... amazing
