As we're nearly at the 6 month point of living in the midst of a pandemic, I thought I'd check in with everyone and see how you're doing. Truthfully, the smoke surrounding the San Francisco area is harder to deal with than COVID. That was true lockdown.
The air quality was so bad that we couldn't leave the house without a mask on. Smoke you can detect, unlike a COVID virus. Daily life became a routine of checking the air quality map, opening the windows to clear the house of the built up heat. Sleep was hard. Life was miserable. I found myself walking from my car to the grocery store with an impulse to remove the mask once inside the store because the air was so much clearer. Oooooppppsss... forgot there was a pandemic.
Here's an air quality map. You can find almost anywhere in the world how the air is.
