My last few "Corners" have gotten much response so I thought I'd fill in the blanks for everyone. First, I wanted to remind you that DSD-Guide is our information website. If you've signed up at bluecoastmusic.com recently, you may not be receiving DSD-Guide. We send out about 2x a month with information on sound, tips on recording, DSD, comparative listening tests, etc. You can sign up here, if you're not already receiving it:

Many people asked which albums were recorded with holographic sound in mind. Actually, ALL of the Blue Coast Records albums were recorded live in the studio with the Extended Sound Environment technique. No headphones, no overdubs, and microphones place to give you the sensation of having the musicians performing right in front of you. This isn't immersive sound, this is stereo recorded in a way that sounds like real life. You can find the recordings here:

Please note that the ambient band, Qua Continuum, does not record in E.S.E. Those recordings are soon to be moved to their own label called Tone Science Music to avoid the confusion.
We're safe from the fires, skies are blue, we are HAPPY to breathe good air again.
Metadata -- Yes, we agree that the metadata provided to the consumers is sorely lacking. There is another "metadata" issue that the labels face which sadly doesn't include the participants on the recording, only the codes associated. I'll get into this more in a future DSD-Guide issue.
Thank you, as always, for your unending support of our music and efforts!
