Clean, skillful acoustic guitar accompaniment by Bob Reid sets the stage for Judi Jaeger’s confident phrasing. When Reid harmonizes on the chorus, the effect is intensified by his choice of a lower octave—a classic but infrequent harmonic approach also favored by acoustic duo Gillian Welch and David Rawlings.
